Convert iPhone photos to JPG online — locally in your browser
iPhone photos are saved as HEIC. Turn them into JPGs that open on any computer, website or app.
Unlike most HEIC converters, this tool processes files locally in your browser and supports batch conversion.
No upload · 100% local processing · Batch conversion supported
How it works
- 1
Add files
Drop or pick one or many HEIC / HEIF files.
- 2
Convert
Files are decoded locally with WebAssembly and re-encoded as JPG.
- 3
Download
Save each result individually or grab them all as a ZIP.
Why iPhone photos don’t open everywhere
iPhones save pictures in HEIC to save storage. Apple devices open them fine, but Windows, many Android apps, online forms, government portals and older software reject them or show a blank preview. Converting to JPG fixes that.

- No file names or hashes in analytics
- Photos are dropped from memory when you close the tab
FAQ
Why are my iPhone photos HEIC?
Since iOS 11, the iPhone camera saves photos in HEIC (“High Efficiency”) by default because it takes about half the space of JPG at the same quality.
How do I stop my iPhone from taking HEIC photos?
Open Settings → Camera → Formats and choose “Most Compatible”. New photos will be saved as JPG. Photos you already took stay HEIC — convert them here.
My iPhone photo is already a JPG — why?
When you share or AirDrop a photo, or upload it through a website, iOS often converts it to JPG automatically. You can still drop it here; it is passed through unchanged.
Can I convert iPhone photos to JPG on Windows?
Yes. Copy the .heic files from your iPhone (via cable, iCloud or OneDrive), then open this page in Chrome, Edge or Firefox and drop them in. No app or codec install needed.
Can I convert photos directly on my iPhone?
Yes. Open this page in Safari, tap the drop area and pick photos from your library. The converted JPGs can be saved to Files or shared.
